Death To The Undead – Pembroke Sinclair

Author Interview

Death Cover

RC: Congratulations on the recent release! Please tell us about your novel.

PS: Thank you! I’m very excited for it to be back in the world. Death to the Undead is the second book in the Life After the Undead series (Life After the Undead is the first), and it follows the story of Krista and her friends as they figure out how to survive in the zombie-infested and tyranny-ruled world.

RC: What is your inspiration when writing? How do you come up with your ideas?

PS: Inspiration comes from many different places—movies, books, dreams, conversations I overhear in public—then I flesh them out from there.

RC: How do you come up with the names of your characters?

PS: Ummmm, this one is a bit hard to answer. Sometimes they come to me, and sometimes I have no idea what to call them, so I think of people I know or used to know and use their names. The characters aren’t based on these people, they just have their names. Other times, I go to baby name sites and pick from there.

RC: Do you have any advice for unpublished authors? What do you wish you had known?

PS: Never stop having fun. There have been times when I would get frustrated and angry and fed up with the publishing process because things didn’t turn out the way I wanted them to, but then I had to remind myself that there are many ways to define success. But more importantly, if you’re not having fun telling your stories, then it’s not worth doing.

RC: If you could ask your readers one question, what would it be?

PS: What do you look for in a book?

RC: How can your readers connect with you, Facebook, twitter, ect.?

Pembroke Sinclair Picture

Pembroke Sinclair is a literary jack of all trades, playing her hand at multiple genres. She has written an eclectic mix of fiction ranging from horror to sci-fi and even some westerns. Born in Rock Springs, Wyoming–the home of 56 nationalities–it is no wonder Pembroke ended up so creatively diverse. Her fascination with the notions of good and evil, demons and angels, and how the lines blur have inspired her writing. Pembroke lives in Laramie, Wyoming, with her husband, two spirited boys, a black lab named Ryder, and a rescue kitty named Alia, who happens to be the sweetest, most adorable kitty in the world! She cannot say no to dessert, orange soda, or cinnamon. She loves rats and tatts and rock and roll and wants to be an alien queen when she grows up.
